The Problem Of Back Pain Philadelphia Style

By Selma Hill

There are numerous approaches to the problem of back pain Philadelphia. More often than not, though, the cause isn't what we usually think of as a 'disease'. It's not a tumor! Nor is it an infection, an arthritic inflammation, a drug reaction or even the cooties. Most likely it's just something mechanical. Further, there's an excellent chance that you did not, in fact, break your spine.

Typical of these causes are injury, stress, poor posture, a lack of physical exercise. The word 'epidemic' is more typically applied to pathogenic ailments. If not for that restriction, back aches would truly be an epidemic in America.

The statistics are staggering. Fifty percent of US workers complain of neck pain annually. Back ache is number five in causes of trips to the doctor, and more people under forty-five cite it as the cause of restricted mobility than any other malady. It's well worth speculating that we humans haven't completely gotten well-built for this 'walking erect' business.

Since these troubles are typically non-organic, the first person to visit might well be a chiropractor. Chiropractic typically heals through the direct adjustment of the spine, using the doctor's well-trained hands. Of course he has other tools, including everything from traction to electric muscle-stimulation, at his disposal.

Whether for short term or long term relief, research bears out the claim that chiropractic is the most reliable treatment for mechanical problems of the spine. If the cause of your distress is in fact something pathogenic or inflammatory, such a doctor will be trained to recognize it and send you to an internal medicine specialist.

There are many things you can do to avoid this problem in the first place. Stand and sit up straight, without slouching. Eat right and get your exercise. Don't smoke. But if it happens that you do end up with back pain Philadelphia, your best bet is to turn to a doctor of chiropractic. back pain philadelphia

Last year I was in an accident on 95 which has led me to have neck, shoulder, and back pain all the time now. I have been seeing a chiropractor and even going to acupuncture sessions to help relieve the pain. I am not a fan of taking medication either, so I am glad that I have found contact information on finding a back specialist now. Also, if you are in an accident in Philly ( especially if you are not at fault!) it is also important to make sure you have a good Philadelphia medical malpractice lawyer. Without the help of my lawyer I would be very lost right now. Please be careful on 95 too!
